YOUR XAGT'S
The XAGT arrived and with it came an entirely new styling direction. Gone was the bold statement the previous GT's made with shakers etc. The new GT was to be more streamlined and to some looked less aggressive. Others prefer the curvy appearance of the XA/B GT's over the boxy look of the previous GT's. There was to be no Phase GT in this range thus signaling a step back for muscle car enthusiast of the era. One can only ponder what murmurings went on around the streets and pubs about this revelation. The lack of a phase IV left ford with some unwanted parts and these found their way onto some GT's in the form of the RPO. The standard XAGT offered the usual 300 horsepower cleveland 351 power plant.
