GT Club Runs - Palm Beach
NSW GT CLUB
My first ever GT club Run. I wasn't even a member of a club at this stage. I had only owned my GT for a few weeks and hadn't really given the car a good run in. The day before this run I took the car on a drive organised by my brother in law. This run was the first time the car had been driven at any sort of speed through any sort of twisting roads. Rather fun, but hair raising as well. So the GT run was another opportunity to get it out on the road and see how she performs. We all met at Thornliegh maccas at approx 9:30am. About 35 GT's of various vintage slowly filled the Maccas parking until it came time to make the run to Palm Beach. The run was fairly uneventful except for a possible red light camera fine I may have received trying to keep up with some of the pack. The cars all parked in a line next to each other along the palm beach entry road and generated a fair bit of interest from the locals. Plenty of pictures were taken by all. The following is my account from the day.
Note: No fine came through so I must have been ok on the light. PHEW!
