72 XA GT Coupe for SALE or SWAP……

Ok, well here I go again, I have decided to have another crack at selling or swapping my car. Last time I got innundated with tyre kickers, and got the harry hitts about it and put it away. This time things are diffrent.

So WHY???
Ok things have changed in my life of late, I have been working way too much and have little spare time to devote to the cars restoration. Between work and my family and personal life, I dont have time to finish my car. My options are to store it for a few years, or see if I can pass it on to someone else out there who would like a crack at finishing it. All the hard and nasty work is done, so its win win for a new owner.

Also, I am putting a deposit on a new GT-P Monday Morning 17/03/2008, so heres what I am looking to do options wise.....

Option 1.....Sell the car outright, I want 100k for it. Sounds real dear, but with the level of work done to it, and the proof supplied re quality of work done, I think the price is justified. This coupe has been finished to the highest level possible with no compromise for quality of work or finish. A project car would easily set you back 30k minimum, add 50k to professionally paint and panel, fix mechanicals, redo electricals and interiour etc. Another 5 to 10k sunk into e-pay for all the missing or knackered bits you allways need to replace or upgrade. Add chroming and plating etc etc, and you are well close to my asking price. So mine costs a bit more, but saves you all the hassle of finding a beater/painter, then getting him to do it, and then the worry of finish etc.

Option 2....I will consider a part SWAP deal for a cheaper GT like an XB for example, or a Factory V8 XA or XB Coupe, any decent K code XA's or even a niceZH Fairlane etc etc and a cash adjustment for changeover. I want no fix er uppers or projects, only good sound cars that I can immediatly register and drive around in.

Sept 72 GT Coupe, 1 of 23 Yellow Glow, White interiour cars. Options and retail dealer number are listed in my signature below.
All bits are there for the car including the original motor which is fine. Car has 12 slots and non genuine 15 inch globes.

I may consider some negotiation on the price, but for this I would be keeping the top loader and all bits related to it and the globes.

Also, just incase someone reads between the lines on the new car I am buying and thinks I am desperate to sell, well I am NOT, and the GT-P cost is covered by other funds I allready have....Just. If I sell this one and possibly downgrade to a cheaper car this gives me some spare cash to play with instead of me using all of my cash getting the GT-P.
