MAD DAY - BARGOED HOUSE SWANSEA

After getting the car out of the garage the week before for the Budgewoi run. I was keen for another trip out after a long break over xmas. So with the weekend of the car show upon us I spent half of Saturday working on cleaning the car for the show. I also spent time attaching my new historic registration number plates to the car.

The morning of the show looked a little gloomy outside but it didn't look like raining anytime soon so I was off. The plan was to meet up with a fellow club member at swansea maccas and await the rest of the club en-route from belmont. Well, the other club member never arrived so when the first few club members came within sight I kicked her over and hit the road. Joining the back of the group for the short drive to Bargoed House I thought ahead to some advice given by another club member the week prior. He had warned about the hellish speedbumps and knowing my car is fairly low I was wondering whether I would make it in at all. After arriving at the park and driving down onto the field it was clear the speed bumps were not as bad as I had worried as long as you take it slow over them and don't bounce the car after the front wheels clear the bumps.

I didn't do any sort of bonnet count but I'd say there would have been in the order of a hundred cars or so turned out for the event. Some very, very nice cars were in attendance which made the day all the better. The rest of the morning and afternoon was spent taking photos of some great cars and talking to fellow enthusiasts.
