CENTRAL COAST ALL FORD CLUB SHOW AND SHINE

My second year at the show and it just keeps growing. Last year we arrived at about 8:30am and easily drove into the car park to our spot. Not this year, we arrived at the same time only to find a string of cars waiting to get in. The long line of cars waiting to gain entry took its toll on several cars. By the time we arrived at our designated park several of our cars had overheated and started spitting out the coolant. Our club wasn't the only club to suffer as several other cars could be seen with steam rising from the bonnets. This is not the fault of the organisers as the show continues to grow. I think its time this event moved on to a more suitable venue.

It didn't take long for the crowds to arrive either. Practically straight away there was quite a large number of people walking around the show checking out all the cars. From reports in the newspaper 10,000 people made the trip around the show.

The weather on the day was scorching and required several runs to the drink vendors for a cool refreshment. The forecast was for a late shower though and this proved spot on as later in the day towards the end of the show some very dark clouds started moving in. The heavens opened and it absolutely poured down which signaled the end of proceedings. Unfortunately the limitations of the venue inhibit a speedy exit so most were forced to sit in their vehicles whilst the bulk of the cars exited. Eventually the lanes cleared enough for our exit so we all left the venue and the show for another year.

I didn't get around to take as many pics as I intended due to the stifling heat and my pregnant wife who didn't need the heat exposure. Enjoy the pics.
